In the last year, perhaps more than ever, we have realized that what really matters for the holidays is not necessarily what we have under the tree, but what we have in our hearts.
More than a third (35.8%) of the children in Romania are at risk of poverty or social exclusion, which means that they live in families with a low level of income that struggle constantly to buy food, clothes and other essentials.
For many families in these situations, access to social and medical services or food during this period is so low that their vulnerability will lead to serious subsistence problems and damage their normal physical and psychological development.
A meal is not just about food. It means survival for many, it means harmonious development, it means attending school in decent conditions, it means less worries for the next day for their parents or grandparents.
Finastra places the principles of Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) at the heart of our open and inclusive culture, and believes in ‘doing well by doing good’. Through our corporate social responsibility strategy we recognize the importance of the role all of us play in the pursuit of our objectives to improve the wellbeing of our employees, customers, partners, society and the environment in which we operate.
This year, together with Save the Children association we aim to put a smile on children faces, that come from deprived backgrounds, by offering them a hot meal for holidays. We need your help to reach at least 400 portions, which the children in the educational centers can receive for Christmas.
